Pay for power, not for access
to your own notes.

Free is a plan, not a trial. Pro is for people who want a frontier model on tap. Founder is $99, once, and we stop selling it at 500.

never paywalled

What Pro doesn't gate.

This list is the deal. It stays true when a subscription lapses, when you never subscribe at all, and when we'd really rather you did.

Your files

Markdown on your device, visible in the Files app, readable by any editor. They aren't stored behind a plan; they're stored in a folder.

Unlimited saves

Ten items or ten thousand. Library size is not a meter we watch, on any plan.

On-device AI

Summaries, tags and cards from Apple's model, for every item you save, free forever.

Search

Hybrid semantic and full-text search across everything. Finding your own notes is not a premium feature.

Ask

Ask your library, get answers with citations, hear "not in your library" when that's the truth. No paywall in front of it.

If you never pay us a cent, IKI still works in full, forever. The only thing Free counts is recipes: you pick three, they run as often as you like, and the fourth distinct recipe is where Pro begins.

context

What a year costs elsewhere.

All of these are decent products. We're only talking about the bill.

AppPer yearFree tier
IKI Pro $49 Complete: unlimited saves, on-device AI, search and Ask
mymind Mastermind $129 None
Evernote Advanced $249.99 Capped at 50 notes, one device
Notion with full AI about $240 per user Exists, but full AI is paid
Raindrop Pro $28 to $38 Yes, bookmarks only

Prices as published in August 2026, annual billing. They drift; the ratios rarely do.

Worth knowing first.

What happens if I stop paying?

Nothing dramatic. Your files stay on your device, Free keeps working in full, and your three chosen recipes keep running. You lose the Claude key hookup and the advanced recipes until you come back.

What does "bring your own Claude key" actually cost?

You pay Anthropic directly at their API rates, and only when you ask something. A typical question over a library costs a cent or two; heavy daily use might add up to a few dollars a month. IKI adds nothing on top and never routes the traffic through our servers.

What exactly do Founders get?

One payment of $99 through the App Store buys Pro for the life of the product, including features that don't exist yet. You also get a founder badge in your library and a direct line to the makers. There are 500 seats total; when they're gone, they're gone.

Does one purchase cover my iPhone and iPad?

Yes. Plans follow your Apple Account the standard App Store way, so Pro works on all your devices without buying twice, and Family Sharing follows Apple's usual rules. One honest note: each device keeps its own library until iCloud sync ships.

Free is most of the app.

Upgrade the day you hit your fourth recipe, if that day comes.
